LogoCORPORATE AFFAIRS COMMISSION (CAC)

 

The Corporate Affairs Commission was established pursuant to Companies Act, 2009 to administer the act including the regulation and supervision of the incorporation and registration of companies.

 

The Commission is also charged with establishing and maintaining a company’s registry and offices in all the provinces as may be necessary- suitably and adequately equipped to discharge its functions and responsibilities.

 

The Commission shall comprise the following members:

(a) a chairman; (b) one representative each of the following bodies/organizations: –

  • the Sierra Leone Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture;

  • (ii) the Sierra Leone Labour Congress;

  • (iii) the Sierra Leone Bar Association;

  • (iv) the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sierra Leone;

  • (c) a representative of the Ministry responsible for trade;

  • (d) two persons, one of whom is a woman, who works principally in the private sector; and

  • (e) the Registrar.

 

Our mission is to be the heart of Company information exchange in Sierra Leone whilst supporting business growth, informing the public and contributing to sustainable socio-economic development of the country.
