The Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) is now referred to as the Political Parties Regulation Commission through Constitutional Instrument No. 22 of 2022 and the Political Parties Act No. 25 of 2022.

The establishment of the National Multi-Party Forum and Regional Multi-Party Forums contributed in cooling down tensions between and amongst political party’s operatives as it created the enabling environment for political actors to discuss on issues of national concern and chat the way forward. Similarly, the Commission will ensure the roll out of the Inter-Party Dialogue Committee in the sixteen (16) Electoral District of the country. The Committee will foster a culture of dialogue and cooperation among political parties; identify and discuss major political and governance issues; enhance mutual understanding and trust among political parties and serve as a vehicle of dialogue between political parties and the government.
