BRAC SIERRA LEONE

 

BRAC Sierra Leone follow an integrated approach to development across Sierra Leone and also operate 160 adolescent clubs to raise awareness and provide a safe space for girls. BRAC started working in Sierra Leone in 2008 and began providing microfinance services in June 2009. Currently, BRAC is operating in 12 districts of Sierra Leone such as: Pujehun, Bonthe Kailahun, Western Rural/ Urban, Koinadugu, Port Loko, Bo, Moyamba. BRAC also provide microloans and enterprise loans to women and men to help them engage in income generating activities.

 

BRAC uses a community-based approach to provide essential healthcare, malaria control, and sexual and reproductive health support that also reaches urban slums and is currently implementing projects in Microfinance, Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents and Health, Agriculture and Social Welfare and Youth.
