CONCERN WORLDWIDE - SIERRA LEONE
Concern Concern Worldwide is dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries.
Concern Worldwide started operating in Sierra Leone in 1996 and are currently working in Port Loko, Tonkolili District and in the Freetown/Western Area focusing on of health, education and livelihoods. Currently, Concern Worldwide is implementing the following project:

The StopRats project in Port Loko and Tonkolili from 2018 to date.

Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) project in Western Area Urban, Port Loko and Tonkolili from 2017 to 2022.
LATEST ACHIEVEMENTS
Malaria Prevention
A total of 14,118 people directly benefited from our TAP (treat and prevent) Malaria programme, with local partner Community Integrated Development Association (CIDA), which improved health service treatment of malaria and other diseases
Emergency Response
In response to COVID-19, we have distributed more than 2,000 basic hygiene kits, improved access to handwashing for 800,000 people, and reached 32,000 people directly, and up to 3 million indirectly with COVID-19 messaging.
Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health
We provided 7,088 adolescents with essential training in life skills. This resulted in a significant reduction in teenage pregnancies and an increase in school attendance.
