DOCTORS WITH AFRICA CUAMM
Doctor with Africa started operating in Sierra Leone in 2012 through helping local doctors and nurses in Pujehun district. This support was expanded in 2015 to include Lunsar post Ebola support and in 2016, Doctors with Africa has expanded to Western Area supporting the PCMH Maternity Unit. By 2017, support has expanded to Bo and Makeni hospitals as well as Bonthe district hospital.
Currently, doctors with Africa is working in all districts supporting the National Emergency Medical Service which was launched in 2018. In addition, they are also supporting screening for gestational diabetes, providing technical and clinical support in the regional hospitals of Makeni and Bo and providing training and assistance for public health interventions.
