GOAL SIERRA LEONE
GOAL’s focus is to save lives and empower communities to develop resilience and greater control over their lives and livelihoods. At the global level, GOAL aims to increase the resilient wellbeing of the world’s poorest people and focuses on those who are excluded or marginalised, particularly those who are vulnerable due to socio-economic status, gender, or age.
In Sierra Leone GOAL started operations in as part of a post-war response. In recent years, GOAL played a central role in the 2014 Ebola response and the 2017 mudslide.
Currently, GOAL operates in six 16 districts: Western Area Urban, Kambia, Kenema, Bombali, Koinadugu and Moyamba providing support on Emergency Response; Resilient Health; Food & Nutrition Security and Sustainable Livelihoods
