THERAPEUTIC SOLIDARITY AND INITIATIVES FOR HEALTH
Therapeutic Solidarity and Initiatives for Health was Founded in 2003 by doctors & researchers of the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital to fight against HIV / AIDS, Solthis gradually extended its action against other diseases. For more than 15 years, we have been working hand-in-hand with local actors in West and Central Africa on prevention and access to quality care by sustainably strengthening health systems and services.
Solthis’ was established in Sierra Leone in 2014 to improve the health of populations in countries with the lowest coverage of health needs, by strengthening the capacity of health systems to meet people’s needs in terms of quality, access to care and equity.
In 2015, Solthis expanded its focus on maternal and child health, youth health, tuberculosis, hepatitis, and neglected tropical diseases, and evolved its acronym from Solthis “Therapeutic Solidarity and Initiatives against AIDS” to “Therapeutic Solidarity and Initiatives for Health”
Currently, Therapeutic Solidarity and Initiatives for Health is supporting maternal and child health, youth health, tuberculosis and hepatitis
